On January 12, 2021Prof. BanchongMahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. JackritSuttakorn, Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University met with Prof. Dr. AnekLaothammatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. They met on the occasion of the New Year 2021 and used this occasion to discuss the progress of the 25th International Robotics Competition,RoboCup 2021, Bangkok, Thailand.

The meeting was online at the Minister's meeting room, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). The Minister presented the project at the Cabinet meeting for their consideration. Many organizations and agencies are collaborating in this project. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) andMahidol University and N.C.C. International Events Co.,Ltdare collaborating with Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB)and various governmentalagencies such as the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the Customs Department and the Department ofConsular Affairs. This event is officially authorized by the Confederation of RoboCup Committee (RoboCup Trustee),buttheyhave requested to postpone the competition due to COVID-19 pandemic.The international RoboCupcompetition is then scheduled to be held in June 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand (RoboCup 2022, Bangkok, Thailand).
