On May 15, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University organized a training project to provide knowledge and practice response plans in the event of an active shooter. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornchai Chanyagorn, Deputy Dean for Process Quality Development, discussed the origins of the project and inaugurated the training alongside Asst. Prof. Dr. Korporn Panyim, Deputy Dean for Administration, Research, and Innovation, who also attended to present souvenirs to the speakers. The event featured expert speakers led by Police Colonel Sirichai Masilirangsi, Deputy Commander of the Central Police Tactical Training (CPTTC), and officers from the police training group from the Royal Police Cadet Academy (RPCA). The training provided knowledge on how to behave during a crisis, correct responses, and coping strategies for hostage situations in emergencies. Additionally, there was a simulation of emergency situations and practice of emergency response plans. The training took place at meeting room R114, 1st floor, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
