On March 25, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, represented by the Engineering for Social Responsibility (ESR), along with the Department of Industrial Promotion, Linktech (Thailand) Company Limited, Ergo Insurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Star Money Public Company Limited, and the Thai Airfreight Forwarders Association (TAFA), convened a collaboration meeting. The meeting focused on developing networks for renewable energy innovations and planning and implementing policies to advance societal goals. The event took place at Innogineer Studio. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, delivered the opening speech, highlighting the significance of the meeting.
Additionally, Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, emphasized the importance of social policy guidance. Lecturer Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya from the Department of Electrical Engineering presented the innovative results in electric vehicles (EV), offering a new environmentally friendly option for consumers. The meeting included discussions and knowledge exchanges centered around the theme of "Strengthening the Entrepreneurial Network to Advance Electric Vehicles and Sustainable Renewable Energy for Social Policy." Participants explored strategies to promote and support social contributions, emphasizing the importance of leading societal policies. They also discussed ongoing social engineering projects, trends in renewable energy policies, and the benefits of promoting alternative energy sources and Thai air freight. Financial support and loans for electric vehicle groups were among the opportunities highlighted.
Representatives from the private sector actively participated in the discussion, including Mr. Chairat Kaewduang from the Department of Industrial Promotion, Mr. Thewarit Thammakulkunakorn, Managing Director of Linktech (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Mr. Narongrat Sophonpatchawong, Executive Director of the Thai Airfreight Forwarders Association (TAFA), Mr. Kachen Kangsadanatee, Executive Vice Chairman of Ergo Insurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Ms. Decha Na Nok, Deputy Managing Director of Star Money Public Company Limited, and Mr. Niphan Semsanthat, Managing Director of Thai Star Surety Company Limited, a member of TAFA. Dr. Jetsada Arnin, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communications of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, facilitated the discussion.
