On March 11, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, led by the Engineering for
Social Responsibility (ESR), organized a practical teaching and learning session focusing on the
development of water-sharing bicycles for watering agricultural fields. This session was held in
support of students at Wathomkred School in Nakhon Pathom Province. Dr. Jane Kerdpocha,
the director of Wathomkred School, along with the Deputy Director and a team of teachers
responsible for the subjects of Sufficiency Agriculture Science and Mathematics, utilized the
prototype bicycle as a teaching tool for real-world development. This initiative aims to integrate
practical learning experiences into the curriculum, utilizing real-world examples to enhance
students' understanding. This teaching and learning development initiative falls under the
project aimed at guiding social policies and the volunteer project aligned with SDG 17
(specifically items 4, 7, and 10). It forms part of the broader effort to drive social policy guidance
and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
