On March 2, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with executives, lecturers, and faculty staff, participated in the 55th anniversary of the Royal Naming Day and the 136th anniversary of Mahidol University. The event took place at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya. During the anniversary event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, along with Clinical Prof. Emeritus Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn (Chairman of the University Council), Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya (President of Mahidol University), Pol. Gen. Dr. Jongjate Aojanepong (President of Mahidol University Alumni under royal patronage), Mahidol University administrators, department executives, and representatives attended the ceremony.

As part of the occasion, the dean and executives participated in laying a wreath during the royal merit-making ceremony for Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father. Additionally, they visited the exhibition titled "Afgekia mahidoliae, 25th Anniversary of Mahidol: the symbolic flower of Mahidol University," which commemorated the 55th anniversary of the royal naming day and the 136th anniversary of Mahidol University.
