On February 27, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by the Engineering for Social Responsibility and the Department of Electrical Engineering, participated in a meeting to review village-level agricultural development plans in collaboration with the Office of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Nakhon Pathom Province. The event took place at the Ban Bang Krachan Community Enterprise, Fruit Trees Development Group for Export in Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The objective was to select a group of farmers with the potential to produce quality agricultural products, focusing on one village per district and one type of product. The aim was to develop an integrated production process to create valuable agricultural products for the province. During the meeting, Lect. Worawit Isarangkul Na Ayutthaya, a professor from the Department of Electrical Engineering, served as a speaker. Participants included key figures in the initiative, such as relevant government agencies, educational institutions in the community, and other related organizations. Together, they analyzed and proposed work plans, emphasizing the application of technology in the field of engineering to enhance efficiency. This activity serves as an academic service to society, contributing to the development of income generation for sustainable communities in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 17. It represents a significant step in advancing social policy guidance.
