On February 27, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, represented by the Department of Chemical Engineering, hosted a signing ceremony for the academic cooperation memorandum (MoU) with DasBlue Thailand Co., Ltd. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed the attendees and provided insights into the origins of the project cooperation. Khun Kititach Montrichok, Managing Director of DasBlue Company Limited, the manufacturer, and distributor of industrial chemicals AdBlue® by DasBlue, spoke about the collaboration. Asst. Prof. Dr. Wanida Koo-amornpattana, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, also joined in signing the memorandum of understanding. This collaboration is a significant step in testing the AdBlue® exhaust gas chemical produced in Thailand by DasBlue, ensuring it meets the standards outlined in ISO22241 requirements. The goal is to upgrade and develop the product in alignment with the government's policy to promote and enhance product standards for the automotive industry. This initiative aims to maintain the environmental balance globally, and AdBlue® by DasBlue has received EURO5 standards, effectively reducing toxic gases and PM2.5, contributing to the preservation of the global environmental balance.
During the event, a discussion took place on the topic The importance of reducing toxic gases and PM2.5 to maintain the balance of the global environment. Participants in the discussion included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and Khun Kitithat Montrichoke, Managing Director of DasBlue Company Limited, the producer, and distributor of industrial chemicals AdBlue® by DasBlue.
