On February 8, 2024. The Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, represented by the Engineering for Social Responsibility and the Department of Electrical Engineering, engaged in a collaborative meeting with Wat Ngiu Rai School in Nakhon Pathom Province to review the teaching development plan for the engineering and technology curriculum. Lect. Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya, a lecturer from the Department of Electrical Engineering, along with the school director, a team of teachers, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanchai Rivepiboon, a former executive of The Computer Center at Mahasarakham University and the president of the Wat Ngiu Rai School Alumni Association, were among the attendees. The focus of the curriculum development plan is on modern IoT technology, aligning with the needs of education in the 5.0 era.
This meeting served as a pilot design for the curriculum, involving training and knowledge transfer to teachers at Wat Ngiu Rai School initially, with plans to expand to network schools in the central region. This initiative is considered an academic service for society, contributing towards the sustainable development of school education in alignment with SDGs 17 (Sustainable Development Goals). The activity is part of the broader efforts to advance social policy guidance.
