On February 5, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, represented by the Engineering for Social Responsibility and the Department of Electrical Engineering, actively participated in a community meeting to review village-level agricultural development plans. The event, conducted in collaboration with the Office of Agriculture and Cooperatives in Nakhon Pathom Province, took place at the Ban Khlong Yong Organic Farming Community Enterprise. The primary objective of the meeting was to work alongside the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Agriculture and Cooperatives Office to identify a group of farmers capable of producing high- quality agricultural products. The initiative aimed to focus on one village per district, emphasizing a specific type of product. Together, they developed an integrated production process with the goal of elevating the agricultural products of the province. The selection process considered farmers with the potential to contribute significantly to the production of valued agricultural products. The initiative also involved key participants, including relevant government agencies, educational institutions in the community vicinity, and other related agencies. Their roles included analyzing and proposing work plans that incorporated engineering technology to enhance efficiency. This activity represents the Faculty of Engineering's commitment to providing academic services for societal development, particularly in income generation for sustainable communities, aligning with SDGs 17 (Sustainable Development Goals). The initiative is a significant step in advancing social policy guidance and contributing to the broader goals of community development.
