On January 10 and 24, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Engineering Social Responsibility and the Department of Electrical Engineering, undertook a community engagement initiative. The team visited four locations, including Wat Maha Sawat Nak Phuttharam, Ban Sala Din Community Organic Farming Community, and Ban Khlong Yong Cooperative Community, all in Nakhon Pathom Province. During these visits, students identified needs and gathered information for their capstone projects. The goal was to develop students' communication skills with community members and provide engineering solutions. The community served as a real-life learning environment ('LAB room') where students could encounter actual problems, apply various solutions, and develop modern innovations aligned with community needs. This hands-on activity aims to enhance students' skills in addressing real issues in the communities surrounding the university. It is part of the academic service for society in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 17 - Sustainable Educational Development.
