On January 5, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, the Dean, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornchai Chanyagorn, Deputy Dean for Process Quality Development from the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, participated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the development of a comprehensive stroke service system at the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH). This initiative is in honor of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on His Majesty the King's 72nd birthday. The collaboration involves the Ministry of Public Health, The Foundation for The Crown Prince Hospitals, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, and the Ministry of Interior. The objective is to enable people to access prompt treatment, enhance service effectiveness, increase safety, reduce mortality, and minimize disability. The event was honored by Dr. Cholnan Srikaew, Minister of Public Health, who presided over and delivered the opening speech. Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, provided a background report on the preparation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The event took place at Jainad Narendra meeting room, floor 2, building 1, Office of the Permanent Secretary of MOPH.
