On November 23, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University organized an event to donate recycled bicycles in line with the King's strategy to students at Banlakdan School. The event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, who delivered an opening speech and congratulated the participants on their social benefit activities. He also acted as a representative to present the recycled bicycles to Banlakdan School. Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Department Chair of the Electrical Engineering department, also gave a speech about the objectives of the project. The thank-you speech was delivered by the director of Banlakdan School. The event took place at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The recycled bicycle project was led by Lect. Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya and Khun Piya Paiboonrungroj, who were speakers along with lecturer assistants from Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Corporate Communications, General Administration Affairs, Facility and Safety Management Affairs. Engineering students volunteered, and students from Phutthamonthon Vocational College provided a practical skill lecture to students at the school.
Banlakdan School, located in Phetchaboon Province, is a school with a need for recycled bicycles to support students in remote areas. Banlakdan School is the 10th school to join the project, which aims to develop the potential of volunteer students in practicing engineering skills to create a real learning process. The project falls under the theme of "Develop and Increase Student Volunteer Skills for Society," creating a network to expand work and drive forward social policy.
