On October 22, 2023. Dr. Jetsada Arnin, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communications, served as a representative for the dean at the opening ceremony held at Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University. HEALTHY HERO was organized in collaboration with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, Action on Smoking and Health Foundation Thailand, Thai Jogging Club, and other partners, with the aim of raising awareness about the dangers of cigarettes and e-cigarettes among teenagers. The HEALTHY HERO walk and run event, focused on promoting health and awareness about e-cigarettes and NCDs prevention, primarily targeted teenagers, students, and the general public. The running distance covered 5 kilometers and was conducted at four universities in Thailand. The first round of this event was hosted at Mahidol University, and subsequent rounds will take place at Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, and Prince of Songkla University. During the campaign at Mahidol University, the running route started at Prince Mahidol Hall, followed by a 1-kilometer stretch that passed by The Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA). Then, participants ran for 2 kilometers through the Faculty of Engineering, followed by the 3rd kilometer past the Faculty of Liberal Arts and the 4th kilometer past the National Institute for Child and Family Development. The event concluded at the starting point, Prince Mahidol Hall, covering a total distance of 5 kilometers. The campaign garnered interest from medical and nursing students, as well as the general public, with over 1,000 people attending and becoming more aware of the dangers posed by e- cigarettes.
