On September 24, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Korporn Panyim, Deputy Dean for Administration, Research, and Innovation, along with Asst. Prof. Dr. Ronnachai Sirovetnukul, Deputy Dean for Human Capital Management, Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, and faculty staff and students, attended the wreath-laying ceremony to pay their respects to the royal monument of Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, on Mahidol Day 2023. Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University, presided over the wreath-laying ceremony at the Royal Monument Park, Mahidol Learning Center, Mahidol University. The ceremony also took place at the multi-purpose area of the Satharanasuk Visit Building, Faculty of Public Health, as well as the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok Noi.

Every year on September 24th, Mahidol Day is celebrated, marking the birthday of Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father. This day is observed to pay homage and honor the significant contributions of Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father, who was bestowed with the royal title in recognition of being the "Father of modern Thai medicine" and the "Prince of the Navy." His dedication to medical advancements and public health in the country laid the foundation for strengthening medical schools and producing efficient doctors, contributing to the progress and development comparable to civilized countries. As Mahitala Dhibesra Adulyadej Vikrom, the Prince Father once stated: “True success is not in the learning, but in its application to the benefit of mankind.”
