On September 6, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, through the Center of Logistics Management and Healthcare Supply Chain (LogHealth), partnered with the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital to unveil the 'AI Smart Logistics for 5G Smart Hospital' project. This initiative showcased the effectiveness of a Smart Hospital prototype and aimed to propel the country toward becoming a sustainable 'Medical Hub.' Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duangpun Kritchanchai, Executive Director of the Center of Logistics Management and Healthcare Supply Chain (LogHealth), attended the press conference for the 'AI Smart Logistics for 5G Smart Hospital,' a collaborative effort between LogHealth and the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital. The event was presided over by Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, who delivered the opening speech. During the event, Assoc. Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, Deputy Dean of Service Innovations and Corporate Value at the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, discussed the research and innovation advancements resulting from 'AI Smart Logistics for 5G Smart Hospital.' These innovations aim to reduce the workload within the hospital system, promote roles, and enhance the effectiveness of Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospitals, making medical health services more accessible to the Thai population and reducing inequality. The press conference took place at the Innovation Lab in the Srisavarinthira Building at Siriraj Hospital and was broadcasted via Webex Meeting and Facebook Live.
During the event, experts from Mahidol University, including Assoc. Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, Deputy Dean of Service Innovations and Corporate Value at the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duangpun Kritchanchai, Executive Director of the Center of Logistics Management and Healthcare Supply Chain (LogHealth) at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, as well as executives from private sectors, such as Khun Thanawut Ananthiriyakul from Jump AI Co., Ltd., Khun Anuchit Butkhuntong from Origin Software and Solution Co., Ltd., and Khun Phichit Thanyodom, Chief Executive Officer of Corporate Business at True Corporation Public Co., Ltd., engaged in a special discussion on 'Leveling up medicine inventory management and transportation within hospitals using AI logistics and transportation innovation.' The discussion was moderated by Dr. Rawinkhan Srinon, a lecturer from the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University.
