On April 19, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, gave an opening remark at the virtual seminar "Clean Air Solutions". The seminar was hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and its collaborative network, the Center for Clean Air Solutions (CCAS), Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and Clean Air Asia. The seminar aims to discuss solutions to air pollution problems both in Thailand and abroad. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trakarn Prapaspongsa, a lecturer from Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mahidol University, took a moderator role and gave a presentation on “PM 2.5 and Health Impact Reduction Options for Road Transport in Bangkok Metropolitan Region”. The other speakers included Ms. Everlyn Gayle Tamayo, an air quality specialist from Clean Air Asia, who gave a presentation on "Air Quality Monitoring, Emissions Inventory, and Health Mapping towards Clean Air Action Planning in Manila," Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Memon, a Regional Coordinator for Chemicals, Waste, and Air Quality from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) in Asia and the Pacific Region, who gave a presentation on "Sustainable Waste Management as a Tool for Clean Air Solutions," and Assoc. Prof. Wongpun Limpaseni, a Director of CCAS, who gave a presentation on "Clean Air Solutions in Thailand." The event was held online via Zoom.
