On November 29, 2021, Kyoto University, Japan hosted the academic seminar “Kyoto University International Online Symposium 2021” on Education and Research in Global Environmental Studies in Asia.
Prof. Takeshi Katsumi, Dean of GSGES, Kyoto University, presided over the event and gave the opening remarks under the theme of “Restarting International Cooperation After Covid-19 Pandemic”.
Prof. Eiji Nawata, Director of Kyoto University ASEAN Center, gave a keynote speech on “International exchange activities of universities in the post COVID-19 era and the role of the oversea office”.
The topic “Restarting International Cooperation After Covid-19 Pandemic” was presented by each university as follows: 1) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Vice Dean for Research and International Relations, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University; 2)Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Duc, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry, Vietnam; 3) Assoc. Prof. Huan Li, Tsinghua University, China; and, 4) Prof. Dr. Dodik Ridho Nurrohmat, Indonesia. This seminar was organized through Zoom Meeting online.
