Congratulations to the MU Biomed 14 Team, sophomore students from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, on winning the first prize in the ‘INNO for change 2021’ program which was organized by NIDA. They received a plaque, a certificate, and a scholarship of 100,000 Baht for their “Edge Computing Mirror system” project.
This project was inspired by the increase in the elderly population and the COVID-19 pandemic that prevents people from traveling to high-risk places. The team used the existing knowledge in Medical Equipment and IoT System combined with the current Telemedicine system to meet the needs of the elderly group in receiving a diagnosis from physicians and a prompt treatment.
