On February 23, 2021 Information System Technology Management Division, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University together with the Safe Media Development Fund announced the results of the 2020 - 2021 information and digital media literacy survey of the Thai people. There was a signing ceremony among 5 agencies to advance the development of digital capabilities of Thai community. Self-assessment websites and apps and earning certificates are part of the future plans.
Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Vice Dean for Human Resource Development and Public Relations, attended the signing ceremony (MOU) and announced the results of the survey on the information and digital media literacy of the Thai people, 2020 – 2021. Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Kiattisin, Head of Information Technology Management, Faculty of Engineering and Project Leader, reported the objectives of this project. Dr. Thanakorn Srisuksai, Manager of Thai Media Fund, chaired the session and gave the opening speech. This synergistic cooperation is among 5 organizations: The Safe Media Development Fund, Mahidol University (Faculty of Engineering), Office of the National Digital Economy and Society, Health Promotion Foundation, and the Foundation for the Promotion of Child and Youth Media. This is to jointly develop knowledge of the information and digital media of Thai people, support society and digital economy, and promote the use of media with quality. The 5 parties will cooperate to promote, support, and develop knowledge, understanding and skills required in the efficient and innovative use of digital technology.
