On February 15, 2021 Asst. Prof.Dr.Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Vice Dean for Cooperation and Social Responsibility, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University presided over the meeting on "Innovation on Air Quality with IOT Technology".
It was an honor to have Mr. Tewarit Thammakulkunakorn, Director of Siam IOT Co., Ltd., in the meeting. He stated the objectives of this project and communicated knowledge about air quality monitoring innovation with the help of IOT technology presented by Siam IOT Co., Ltd. One such device will be installed in front of the Building 3 (Red Building) entrance security, Faculty of Engineering. This device uses the free and clean energy from the sun by solar cell equipment. The system will send current air quality data in real-time, at least 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening) and indicates the change in air pollution levels. The personnel and students of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University together with the people in Tambon, Salaya community can enjoy the benefits of this project.
Within this year, Siam IOT Company plans to expand the installation of more than 50 devices to communities and 200 more in 2022. In the following years, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University and Siam IOT will transfer the knowledge how to use this technology to have people in the community access the information that will help improve the quality of their life for the better.
