March 8, 2019, the opening symposium of Kyoto University on-site laboratories was held in Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. Both parties shared their objectives and research projects through teleconferencing.

On-site laboratories are locally managed laboratories established by Kyoto University’s education and research organizations in cooperation with overseas partner universities one of which is Mahidol university.

The purposes of the on-site laboratory initiative include: developing research cooperation with overseas universities and research institutions, promoting the recruitment of talented international students and collaboration with industrial partners, strengthening the infrastructure to have more activities and, as a result, to be ranked among world class universities.

We hope to see both parties fulfilling their objectives in the near future.
