On 9 September 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed a delegation from Kochi University of Technology (KUT), Japan, at Meeting Room R210, 2nd Floor, Building 1. The Mahidol delegation was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication. She was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, as well as Dr. Karin Sumongkayothin, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sumeth Yuenyong, from the Department of Computer Engineering.
The KUT delegation included Professor Kiminori Matsuzaki, Director of the International Relations Center and Professor at the School of Data & Innovation, with Mr. Shohei Takechi, Assistant Chief of the Educational Affairs Section, and Ms. Yoko Morio, Section Chief of the International Relations Section. The visit was to discuss opportunities for expanding academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and the School of Information, Kochi University of Technology have maintain an active partnership in educational development. Collaboration involves student exchange programs, curriculum enhancement, joint research initiatives, and academic service activities. These all contribute to improving the international learning experience for students and faculty members from the institutions.
During the meeting, representatives from both universities exchanged ideas on strengthening future cooperation in education and research, as well as organizing joint academic activities. The discussion reflected a shared commitment to further expanding international partnerships, promoting academic excellence, advancing innovative research, and addressing global challenges through collaboration.
