On 27 April 2026, Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, participated as a speaker at the Taiwan- Thailand Industry-Academia Exchange Meeting held at the AVANI Sukhumvit Bangkok. The event was to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia, while supporting the development of a skilled workforce aligned with the needs of Thailand’s rapidly growing industrial sectors.
During the session, Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn shared his knowledge and experience, offering his perspectives on curriculum development, student preparedness, and strategies for developing effective partnerships between universities and industry. Particular emphasis was placed on printed circuit board (PCB) technology and the electronics industry: both continue to experience strong growth and demand for highly skilled professionals.
The event was organized by the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association in collaboration with partner organizations, including NXPO and THPCA. It brought together representatives from Taiwanese companies operating in Thailand, who shared insights on regulatory frameworks, cultural differences, and workforce management: valuable information when preparing Thai graduates for the international job market.
Participation in this international forum highlights the active role of Mahidol Engineering faculty in advancing global academic-industrial collaboration. It also reinforces the commitment of the Faculty to providing students with the skills they need to excel in the modern industrial environment.
