On March 25, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, visited Tottori University, Japan, to discuss academic and research collaboration. The Dean was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication; Associate Professor Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, Founder of the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART LAB); and Dr. Nantida Nillahoot, Innovation Director of the BART LAB.
The delegation was welcomed by Professor Seiji Kageyama, M.D., Ph.D., Trustee and Vice President (Research and International Exchange), and Professor Yusuke Endo, Ph.D., Professor and Deputy Director of the Organization for Research Initiative and Promotion (ORIP), as well as other executives and faculty members of Tottori University.
The discussions focused on advancing collaborative research, particularly in the field of Biomedical Engineering, as well as promoting faculty and student exchange programs. These initiatives aim to enhance academic capacity and create opportunities for joint research at the international level.
In addition, both institutions exchanged ideas on strategic collaboration to elevate research and education to global standards, while laying a strong foundation for long-term partnership. This visit marks another important step for the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University in driving internationalization and building sustainable global research networks.
