On 15 December 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, met representatives from The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia, for a meeting to discuss academic collaboration. Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering; Associate Professor Dr. Chularat Sakdaronnarong, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering; and Dr. Yodsadej Kanokmedhakul, Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, also attended the meeting which was held in Meeting Room 308, Office of the President, Mahidol University.
Ms. Angela Li, International Engagement Manager from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, the University of Queensland, and Ms. Pattarin Wirojchoochut, Education Manager from the Australian Embassy in Thailand were also in attendance. The participants exchanged ideas and shared perspectives on future directions for academic cooperation.
Representatives from the International Relations Division of Mahidol University also joined the meeting to support the development of international partnerships. The discussions focused on exploring the potential for establishing joint engineering programs in the form of Dual Degree or Joint Degree initiatives between the University of Queensland and the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The collaboration marks an important step toward enhancing educational quality, strengthening students’ global learning experiences, and expanding sustainable international academic networks.
