On 9 December 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, presided over the opening of a special lecture entitled, “Directions, Policies, and Funding Criteria of PMU-B.” The event was to enhance understanding of funding policies and application procedures, as well as to strengthen the research capabilities of Faculty members. The session was introduced by Assistant Professor Dr. Korporn Panyim, Deputy Dean for Administration and Finance, who presented the objectives of the program. The event took place in the Innogineer Studio, 1st Floor, Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.

The Faculty was honored to welcome Dr. Nirawat Thammajak as the keynote speaker. He is an Executive Committee member & Secretary of the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B). His lecture covered policy directions, funding criteria, practical guidelines, and recommendations to help researchers prepare more effective grant proposals.

Following the presentation, participants engaged in a Q&A session, exchanging views on key issues related to preparing competitive research proposals. The event concluded with closing remarks, and comments of appreciation for the speake, delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services.

This activity enhanced the understanding researchers have of PMU-B funding mechanisms and supported the development of high-quality research projects within the Faculty of Engineering - an essential driver for advancing national innovation and research excellence.
