On 24 November 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, participated in the signing ceremony of two Memoranda of Understanding aimed at strengthening academic and industrial collaboration between Thailand and Japan.
The first MOU was signed between Mahidol University and Tottori University. The second agreement was a three-party collaboration between Mahidol University, Tottori University, and the Tottori Industrial Promotion Organization (TIPO). The signatories included:
1. Assistant Professor Dr. Thatchavee Leelawat, Vice President for Kanchanaburi Campus, Mahidol University
2. Professor Tasuku Harada, President of Tottori University, Japan
3. Seji Okamura, Director of the Tottori Industrial Promotion Organization, Japan
The witnesses, included Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Associate Professor Dr. Jackrit Suthakorn, the Founder of the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART LAB), Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University; and Hideki Nagashima, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Tottori University.
The agreements will enhance cooperation in education, research, researcher and student exchange, as well as the development of technology and industry between Thailand and Japan. The ceremony was held at Terrace A, 3rd floor, The Athenee Hotel Bangkok.
This partnership marks another significant milestone for the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, as it continues to expand its international network to strengthen academic excellence, drive innovation, and develop technologies that meet the needs of society and future industries.
