On 26 November 2025, at the Office of the President, Mahidol University, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication of the Faculty of Engineering, welcomed Dr. Paulo Zagalo-Melo, Senior Internationalization Strategist from the Global Education Office at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), USA. This meeting was a an important step toward exploring future academic cooperation between the two institutions.
Representatives from both sides exchanged ideas on internationalization policies, collaborative development strategies, and approaches to enhancing global learning experiences for students. Discussions also focused on strengthening the capacity of academic personnel to meet the challenges of the interconnected world.
They covered a range of potential collaborations, including student exchange initiatives, joint academic programs, and the expansion of research networks between Thailand and the United States. Both parties expressed interest in advancing partnerships that could lead to tangible outcomes and positive societal impact.
This engagement reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Engineering to expanding its international networks and expanding global partnerships. Through these collaborations, Mahidol University aims to enhance educational quality, support innovative research, creating new global opportunities for students and staff.
