On November 5, 2025, the Student Activities and Alumni Affairs of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Thai Women Engineers Association (TWEA), organized a seminar: “Preparing for the Future World of Engineering”. This took place in Room 238, Building 1, of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The event was to provide engineering students with valuable insights, career guidance, and inspiration from accomplished female engineers - to help them prepare for entering the engineering workforce in the digital era.
The seminar was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The event also featured Khun Ajarin Pattanapanchai, President of the Thai Women Engineers Association, who introduced TWEA and its initiatives to promote the role of women engineers in Thailand. She emphasized the importance of collaboration, professional development, and inspiration for the next generation of engineers.
In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat expressed his appreciation for TWEA’s continued support in fostering young talent. He noted that the “TWEA on Tour” activity was an excellent opportunity for Mahidol Engineering students to develop essential Future Skills, encompassing technical knowledge, analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork. He said, “These skills will empower our graduates to succeed and adapt in a rapidly changing digital landscape.” He also extended his gratitude to the association and the guest speakers for sharing their valuable experiences and motivating students to explore their full potential in the engineering profession.
The discussion session featured three distinguished speakers: Khun Ajarin Pattanapanchai, President of TWEA; Khun Lisa Ngamtrakulpanich, Vice President of TWEA and President of the Thai Contractors Association under H.M. The King’s Patronage (TCA); and Dr.Paweena U-Thainual, CEO of MDR Solutions Co., Ltd. They shared their professional journeys, challenges, and insights on key topics such as adapting to technological change, upskilling for the future, and achieving career success in the modern engineering world.
The seminar concluded in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, leaving participants motivated and better prepared to pursue their careers with confidence. The collaboration between Mahidol University and TWEA marks another important step in empowering future engineers - helping develop them into skilled professionals ready to drive innovation, sustainability, and positive impact in society.
