On November 3–4, 2025, the Health Innovation and Technology Network (HUB of Talent) officially launched the Smart Healthcare and Smart Hospital for Health Innovation and Technology Program (Batch 1) at the Peridot Room, Grand Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel, Nonthaburi. The program attracted participation from government agencies, private organizations and academic institutions. All share a commitment to advancing Thailand’s healthcare sector through digital innovation.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Sirinporn Deawtrakool, Deputy Executive Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), who delivered her opening remarks via video message. Associate Professor Dr. Duangpun Kritchanchai, Executive Manager of HUB of Talent and Director of the Centre of Logistics Management and Healthcare Supply Chain, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, presented the program’s objectives. She explained that the HUB of Talent integrates expertise from eight leading universities and private sector partners to strengthen Thailand’s healthcare innovation ecosystem - from technology development and supply chain infrastructure to human resource capacity building.
“Technology alone cannot transform healthcare,” Associate Professor Dr. Duangpun said. “People are at the heart of progress. This program was designed to empower participants with the right knowledge, skills, and mindset to use technology intelligently and effectively for the public good.” She emphasized that the course focuses on developing New Skills, Upskilling, and Reskilling - enabling participants to understand the full landscape of Smart Healthcare and Smart Hospitals, and to work seamlessly with digital technologies for improved healthcare outcomes.
Designed through collaboration between experts from engineering, medical, and industrial sectors, the program provides a holistic learning experience and practical applications for healthcare professionals. Over the two days of intensive training, participants engaged in sessions on topics such as Digital Health Revolution, Intelligent Healthcare Framework, AI in Healthcare, MedTech Product Roadmap, Digital Twin, Secure Medical Data Sharing, Hospital Logistics Tracking, and International Healthcare Standards. These sessions enhanced the participants’ understanding of digital integration and innovation management in modern hospitals.
Associate Professor Dr. Duangpun concluded, “The collaboration and shared expertise among all sectors today will be the driving force that propels Thailand’s healthcare system toward innovation, modernization, and sustainability - ultimately improving the quality of life for all citizens.” The training marked a major milestone for the HUB of Talent in cultivating a new generation of digital-ready professionals, fully equipped to meet the challenges of the future healthcare landscape.
