From October 27-28, 2025 Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, visited the University of Luxembourg. He was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Narit Hnoohom, Lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering and Assistant to the President for Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Assistant Professor Dr. Konlakorn Wongpatikaseree, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, and Professor Paisarn Muneesawang, Head of the Reinventing University Project. The purpose of the visit was to discuss academic and research collaboration in advanced technologies.

The visiting team was welcomed by Professor Pascal Bouvry, Dean of FSTM, with Professor Bradley Ladewig, Vice Dean of FSTM, and Stefanie Östlund, Project Manager, Megatrends, FSTM. They participated in a discussion in which they exchanged ideas on education and research. They also visited the Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC), where they saw a presentation of the Meluxina and Meluxina AI systems.

The visiting group also met with Dr. Jonathan Pecero, Partnership Officer, to discuss research collaboration and joint project development between the two institutions; and met with Dr. Cansu Agrali and Dr. Caesar Wu to exchange research information in computer engineering and digital technology. Another visit was to A Aion - The Unilu HPC at the University of Luxembourg.

The meetings ended with Professor Pascal Bouvry and Professor Paisarn Muneesawang. They outlined operational guidelines to drive research collaboration in information technology and engineering innovation. This is expected to be an important step in expanding Mahidol University's international partner network in the future.
