On 13 August 2025. Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, along with Faculty members and students, welcomed representatives from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Samsung. They shared information on graduate studies and scholarship opportunities: G-EPSS (Global Educational Program for Samsung Semiconductor) Graduate Fellowship Program Information.
The visitors included Professor Minky Je from the Department of Admissions KAIST who introduced the university. Hyunjoo Jenny Lee, Director of the G-EPSS Program and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at KAIST, presented details about the fellowship program. Mr. Woosik Park from Samsung Electronics then gave an overview of the company and its technological impact worldwide.
Adding a personal touch, Mr. Chayman Chiangchaisakunthai, an MS/PhD Integrated student from KAIST’s Electrical Engineering program, shared his first-hand experiences of campus life, academic challenges, and research opportunities at KAIST. His talk provided valuable insights for students considering higher education abroad.
The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, allowing Mahidol students to engage directly with KAIST and Samsung representatives. It was a unique opportunity for Thai students to explore pathways toward advanced studies and potential careers with one of the world’s leading technology companies.
