On August 14, 2025, members of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, were honored with certificates of recognition for their achievements as Thai inventors and researchers who have gained international acclaim. The awards were presented during the “Internationally Outstanding Inventors Awards Ceremony” organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok.
The honored faculty members were Associate Professor Norased Nasongkla from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Eakkachai Warinsiriruk, and Dr. Donlaporn Saetae from the Department of Industrial Engineering. The certificates were presented by Miss Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
All three recipients were recognized for developing outstanding inventions that had significant potential for commercialization and societal benefits. Their award-winning work from international invention competitions also earned them the honor of representing Thailand at The 11th International Exhibition of Inventions (IEI 2025), to be held from August 22–24, 2025, in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China.
This achievement marks another milestone for the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, in advancing Thai research and innovation to the global stage, reaffirming the capability of the Mahidol academic community to deliver high-quality creations that will help develop the future of the nation.
