On July 17, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, through its Engineering for Socially Responsibility Unit, met with representatives of Linktech (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to enhance their Integrated Electric Vehicle Conversion Project. The initiative seeks to develop industrial vocational knowledge. The event was held at the Innogineer Studio of the Faculty of Engineering, where there was participation from the executives and lecturers of the Faculty, who are committed to promoting academic collaboration and advancing electric vehicle innovation in Thailand.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ronnachai Sirovetnukul, Deputy Dean for Human Capital and Information Management of the Faculty of Engineering, opened the meeting. He underscored the critical importance of integrating knowledge to cultivate skilled personnel for the growing EV industry. Mr. Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya, a lecturer from Department of Electrical Engineering outlined the policies of the Faculty and its approach to promoting academic services for society, driving policies that guide societal development for the greatest benefit.
The meeting also featured presentations on innovation. Mr. Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya and Dr. Bamrung Tausiesakul from the Department of Electrical Engineering introduced Electric Vehicles (EVs) as an environmentally friendly option and a pathway to modernization of Thai education, helping it keep pace with technological advancements.
Mr. Thewarit Thamkulkunakorn, Managing Director of Linktech (Thailand) Co., Ltd., presented the detailed scope of the Integrated Electric Vehicle Conversion Project for Industrial Vocational Knowledge Creation, highlighting its central role in the day's discussions.
Following the presentations, a collaborative discussion ensued on the implementation of the project. The executives and lecturers shared insights and developed a joint work plan to ensure that the project achieves its goals of providing essential knowledge and skills for sustainable careers in the EV industry. The attendees also had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art laboratory equipment within the Innogineer Studio, a vital hub for learning and innovation at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
