On July 14, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, welcomed Dr. Edwin Liu, President of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan, and his delegation to Mahidol University. The Dean was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, as well as Associate Professor Dr. Duangpun Kritchanchai, Director of the Centre of Logistics Management and Healthcare Supply Chain (LogHealth).

The meeting was held at the Dr. Somsak Leeswadtrakul Meeting Room, 5th floor of the Office of the President at Mahidol University, Salaya Campus. It was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University, along with university executives and representatives from related departments.

The two parties had in-depth discussions on strategic collaboration. They focused on key areas such as Smart Healthcare, Digital Transformation, and other emerging fields of mutual interest. Both sides acknowledged the importance of co-developing an innovative approach to address future challenges in the global healthcare system.

The visit also marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reinforcing a long-term partnership between Mahidol University and ITRI. This agreement aims to foster international cooperation and promote cutting-edge innovation in smart health technologies and digital solutions.
