On July 12, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, joined hands with the Western Regional Coordination Center of Mahidol University to launch “Super AI Season 5: Track Innovator”: an initiative aimed at developing high-potential AI talent.
Representing the Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Professor Dr. Pornthip Keangin, Deputy Dean for Innovation Incubation and Alumni Relations, delivered the opening remarks at the event which was held at the Prof. Dr. Kasarn Chativanich Lecture Room of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Organized by the Western Coordination and Networking Center, the program is part of a national effort titled, “Developing High-Performance Workforce for Private Sector AI Applications.” This season focuses on building prompt engineering skills tailored to the real-world needs of key industries including healthcare and medical technology, energy and environment, finance and banking, and the digital sector.
The event was honored by Dr. Thepchai Supnithi, President of the Artificial Intelligence Association of Thailand, who gave an overview of the program. In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Narit Hnoohom, Head of the Western Coordination Center for the Super AI Engineer Program, delivered a welcome speech and presented a program report. The highlight of the event was showcasing AI projects by students and participants that address current and future industrial challenges, with the goal of promoting accessible innovation, research, and knowledge-sharing in AI across Thailand’s western region.
The Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University continues to take an active role in nurturing future-ready talent for the digital age - empowering the next generation with strong technological competency giving them the ability to drive sustainable innovation for Thailand’s long-term competitiveness.
