From July 2–4, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, through its Engineering for Social Responsibility Unit, hosted a hands-on workshop: “Media Creation with AI & IoT PULTIMUM Technology and Its Application in Teaching.” The event was held in Room R-238, Building 1 of the Faculty of Engineering. The workshop was intended to equip school teachers with innovative teaching skills by integrating STEM education with future-driven technologies.
The event was officially opened by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services emphasized the objectives of the workshop.
Key sessions included a talk on project safety by Lect. Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya from the Department of Electrical Engineering, and an introduction to the AI ThaiGen platform by Associate Professor Panrasee Ritthipravat from the Department of Biomedical Engineering. These were supported by Mahidol Engineering faculty members including Lect. Tanatip Uan-On and Dr. Somnida Bhatranand from the Department of Electrical Engineering fand experts from Chulalongkorn University.
Throughout the training, teachers participating engaged in practical activities including design-thinking workshops, prototyping, and AI-themed pitching sessions. These activities encouraged collaborative learning and exchange of ideas among the educators from several schools across the country, fostering innovation in the innovative teaching approaches.
This initiative is part of a broader project to improve educational quality through Engineering and Technology 5.0. It aims to open new horizons for Thai teachers and students, enabling them to embrace emerging technologies and prepare for future innovations in a sustainable and inclusive way.
