On July 1, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led a delegation that engaged in strategic discussions with executives from Nanyang Textile Group. The Engineering team included Assistant Professor Dr. Ronnachai Sirovetnukul, Deputy Dean for Human Capital and Information Management, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wasaporn Techapeeraparnich, Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs.
They were joined by representatives from the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, including Associate Professor Dr. Prasit Suwannalert, Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Kwan Arayathanitkul, Deputy Dean for Education, and Assistant Professor Dr. Porntipa Korprasertthaworn, Deputy Dean for Finance and Procurement. The meeting took place at the Nan Yang Inspiration Center.
The discussions focused on collaborative strategies to nurture skilled talents in advanced engineering and scientific fields, with a shared vision of building a sustainable learning society. Mr. Chawalit Tuangsitisombat, Chairman of the Board, and other executives of Nanyang Textile Group, expressed their commitment to support for Thai students through educational opportunities that contribute to the development of national industry.
During the meeting, the company also expressed its intention to provide scholarships for underprivileged students and to explore other long-term collaboration opportunities that would contribute to educational equity and innovation.
In support of this partnership, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, will begin by promoting the Nanyang Textile Group scholarship programs and academic opportunities through its communication channels. This initiative aims to ensure students are well-informed and prepared to seize these opportunities, ultimately contributing to the development of Thailand’s technological capabilities and global industrial competitiveness.
