On June 27, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, with the executive team, Faculty members, and staff, welcomed the external quality assessment committee for the annual evaluation under the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEx), conducted in the MUDdPEx-A1 format.

The faculty was honored to receive Associate Professor Dr. Sompop Prathanturarug, Vice President for Strategic Planning, Quality Development, and Social Engagement, as well as Professor Dr. Jarupim Soongswang along with the evaluation committee. The visiting team presented its evaluation findings. They offered strategic suggestions including best practices to support the Faculty in continuously improving its operations toward excellence.

The assessment evaluated the operational performance of the Faculty based on the EdPEx framework: an internationally recognized standard that promotes systematic quality improvement. It encompasses key areas such as administration, teaching and learning, research, academic services, human resource development, and institutional sustainability. The Faculty presented its achievements across multiple dimensions that aligned with its vision of becoming a leader in sustainable engineering innovation, emphasizing data-driven management and collaborative development.

The evaluation process was conducted in a constructive and smooth atmosphere. Both sides exchanged valuable insights. The session reflected the strong commitment Mahidol Engineering has to enhancing its quality standards and advancing toward national and international excellence.
