On June 4, 2025, a delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty, visited Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) in the United Kingdom to explore opportunities for international collaboration in research and education.
The discussions focused on research exchange and potential joint initiatives in biomedical engineering and biomaterials, particularly with the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS) at QMUL. The teams also explored opportunities for joint research funding through the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) and other related funding programs to support future projects.
In addition to research collaboration, the two institutions discussed the development of joint educational programs, including Dual Degree programs at the undergraduate level and Global Partnership graduate programs, aimed at enhancing academic mobility and knowledge exchange. The Mahidol delegation included Associate Professor Dr. Benchaporn Lertanantawong, Acting as Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Services, Associate Professor Dr. Norased Na Songkla, and Dr. Pracha Yambangyang from the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
This visit marks a significant step forward in Mahidol Engineering’s mission to strengthen global research networks and academic partnerships. It reflects the faculty’s commitment to providing opportunities for students and staff to engage with leading international institutions and to drive innovation that contributes to sustainable global development.
