On May 26, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, together with Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and faculty members, welcomed Professor Hsiao-Wei Yuan, Vice President for International Affairs from National Taiwan University (NTU), along with Ms. Dheerangkun Uchino, Chief of Economic Affairs from the Thailand Trade and Economic Office (Taipei), and accompanying delegates at Meeting Room R210, Building 1, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The visit aimed to strengthen academic collaboration between the two institutions, with a focus on co-developing a dual-degree program between NTU and the Department of Electrical Engineering at Mahidol. The discussion also included scholarship opportunities for Thai students, enabling them to gain valuable academic experience from one of Asia's top universities.
In addition, both parties explored potential joint initiatives to support the development of Thai professionals in the global semiconductor industry — a rapidly growing and strategically vital sector. The collaboration marks a significant step toward building a strong academic and industrial partnership between Thailand and Taiwan, with the shared goal of fostering innovation and regional talent development.
