On January 9, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Special Affairs, welcomed representatives from the School of Aerospace Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, People’s Republic of China, on the occasion of visiting FLexible Manufacturing: FlexLAB (FlexLAB) under the leadership of Dr. Eakkachai Warinsiriruk, Chairman of the Smart Industrial Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, which is a laboratory focused on developing research and modern manufacturing technology for materials in the medical industry. This collaboration is part of the Symposium & Workshop on Materials and Non-Destructive Testing on the topic of Advanced Materials and Inspection Technology.

This visit aims to exchange knowledge and develop collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University and Xi’an Jiaotong University in the field of materials technology and modern manufacturing, with a focus on enhancing expertise and expanding the scope of joint research at both the public and private levels. Both domestically and internationally, and also provided an opportunity for representatives from both universities to discuss ways to further their cooperation in the future. In addition, this activity was supported by the Science and Technology Research and Services Office, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), which plays an important role in promoting academic and research collaboration between universities in Thailand and abroad. FlexLAB has been recognized as an important example of the application of technology to create innovations that meet the needs of future industries.
