On January 5-6, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Special Affairs, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) in the People's Republic of China. They met with Professor YU Zhiwen, Vice-Rector for International Activities at HEU, to discuss academic and research collaborations aimed at fostering knowledge exchange and the development of joint innovations.

During the visit, the Mahidol University executives toured several prominent colleges and faculties within HEU, including the College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering, the College of International Cooperative Education, the Centre for Experimental Teaching of Mechanics, and the College of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering. These institutions are recognized for their exceptional international capabilities. Both parties engaged in discussions about advancing teaching methodologies, collaborative research, and potential future partnerships.
