From December 16-18, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University hosted the HEU-EGMU Winter Camp 2024, welcoming 41 teachers and high school students from the A-Level High School of Harbin Engineering University, People's Republic of China. The project aimed to enhance learning experiences in engineering, foster cultural exchange, and introduce the Thai language.
On the first day, Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Special Affairs, warmly welcomed the participants and provided an introduction to the history and key highlights of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
Throughout the three-day program, students engaged in engineering workshops designed to stimulate creativity and encourage hands-on learning. Activities included laboratory experiments, engineering design, and the application of technology to real-life scenarios. Additionally, there were sessions aimed at deepening participants' understanding of Thai language and culture.
On the final day, Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, presented certificates to the participants in recognition of their success and dedication. The closing ceremony took place at the Innogineer Studio, located on the 1st floor of Building 3, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
The HEU-EGMU Winter Camp 2024 is a significant initiative that fosters international cooperation and provides international students with the opportunity to experience Thai culture while learning about engineering in close collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
