On September 30, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Pattaraporn Posoknistakul, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Special Affairs, and the executive team and faculty members, welcomed Mr. DING Xuezhong, Dean of the College of International Cooperative Education, and Mr. CAI Chengtao, Dean of the College of Intelligent System Science and Engineering, along with faculty members and students from Harbin Engineering University. The visit was held to discuss cooperation in education, research, technology, and innovation, as well as academic exchanges involving students and personnel between Harbin Engineering University and the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, fostering mutual benefits. The meeting took place at the Innogineer Studio, Building 3, 1st floor, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.

The event included an academic seminar featuring speakers such as Prof. Paisarn Muneesawang from the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, and Prof. Chengtao Cai, Dean of the College of Intelligent System Science and Engineering at Harbin Engineering University, who delivered a lecture on "Digital Twins and Applications for Smart Ships." On this occasion, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, also arranged for the visitors from Harbin Engineering University to visit the Faculty of Medicine at Ramathibodi Hospital to explore future academic collaborations.
