On August 20, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Mahidol University, through the Engineering for Social Responsibility Department, organized an event to deliver 40 refurbished computers to Rat Bamrung Witthaya School as part of the “Developing Old Computers for Students, Creating Educational Opportunities” project. The handover ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Mr. Suwit Pattanaphansak, Director of Rat Bamrung Witthaya School, in front of Building 2 at the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University.
During the event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, along with Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and Lect. Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya, a lecturer from the Department of Electrical Engineering, spoke about the project's origins and objectives. The initiative involves repairing old computers to make them usable again, thereby supporting the educational development of students and teachers. This effort aims to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the teaching and learning process, in line with the policy of promoting quality education through borderless online media and creating educational equality.
