On August 5, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, through the Engineering for Social Responsibility Department, organized the “Smart Farm: Smart Farming to Strengthen Thai Farmers” project at the Khlong Yong Organic Agriculture Community Enterprise Community in Nakhon Pathom Province. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanapat Wanichanon, Dean, chaired the opening ceremony, accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, Dr. Supun Tiptipakorn, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, and Lect. Worawit Israngkul Na Ayutthaya, an expert in the Department of Electrical Engineering, who reported on the project’s objectives.
Key speakers at the event included Mr. Sakorn Chanburanawat, Managing Director of Power Team Network Co., Ltd.; Mr. Phaibun Sawatjui, President of the Khlong Yong Organic Agriculture Community Enterprise Group; Ms. Saisunee Phonsattha, Phutthamonthon District Agricultural Office; Ms. Uengporn Nopphakhun, Nakhon Pathom Provincial Agricultural and Cooperatives Office; Ms. Thananan Srisuwa, Nakhon Pathom Provincial Agricultural Office; and Mr. Itthiphong Chaktri Mongkhon, Phutthamonthon District Chief. They spoke about the benefits received from the project and expressed their congratulations on the development of modern technology for farmers in the community.
The Smart Farm system will help address significant problems and challenges that are difficult to control. By using Smart Farm technology, various issues can be analyzed and solved, which is beneficial and has a positive effect on the world, as well as on farmers and consumers who will receive high-quality agricultural products.
