On July 1, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissada Asavaskulkeit, Deputy Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, presided over the opening ceremony of the project "Improving Health Disparities with Digital Technology." The project s purpose was discussed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Warakorn Charoensuk, Department Chair of Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, Mr. Supoj Thuanprasert, President of the Don Yai Hom Subdistrict Administrative Organization, highlighted the benefits of the project. The event took place at the Don Yai Hom Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Nakhon Pathom Province. The event featured knowledge transfer training sessions on "Technology in Heart Disease Inspection and Treatment of Heart Disease Patients" by Asst. Prof. Phornphop Naiyanetr, an expert from the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and The Science and Art of Sleep by Dr. Jetsada Arnin, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communications and lecturer from the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The project aims to create sustainable health in the community and promote public health by leveraging modern technology to support and develop the medical field, thereby enhancing medical care to be more efficient and advanced.
This project is considered a commendable initiative of the Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University, which instills in personnel, officials, and all participants a sense of conscience, morality, and ethics in social service. It is a positive model that should be promoted and supported.
