On July 15, 2025, A team of third‑year Electrical Engineering students from Mahidol University swept the championship at the METI School: AI Biznovation Hackathon, held recently at MaSHARES Co‑Working Space. The event which was organized by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), challenged student teams to develop AI‑driven business solutions.
Team ECG – Ms. Kanyanut Chupradit, Ms. Kanticha Chanlardsakul and Ms. Kanoknipa Chaisawangwong- under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Aranee Pangarad - presented their project: “ECG As A Service.” Leveraging portable ECG devices and artificial intelligence, their innovative project analyzes heart‑signal patterns to detect ischemic conditions in real time. The judges praised the technical rigor and the clear commercial potential of the solution. They awarded the team a cash prize of 50,000 Baht.
The hackathon featured eight finalist teams who demonstrated how AI can transform industry and address social needs. The distinguished panel of five judges evaluated each pitch. The judges were:

By spotlighting real‑world applications of AI in healthcare, the METI School: AI Biznovation Hackathon underscores Mahidol University’s commitment to fostering innovation that benefits business and society.
