The Program Structure is based on requirement of 48 credits (1 credit=15 contact hours).
Coursework
The course work requirement is 12 credits and thesis writing of 36 credits.
In addition to the coursework required for the Degree, the students are encouraged to attend special seminars/meeting/workshops and other activities that the Program organized regularly. Students who are not able to participate in any activity should inform the Program staff in advance with a strong reason to support the non-participation.

Thesis
Upon completion of the course work, the student has to pass a qualifying exam and defend individual research proposal. The final defense of the dissertation will take place once the student has completed all requirements of the program, has maintained a minimum average grade point of 3.00, and fulfill all requirements for Graduation at the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University. For graduation, the student is required to submit a document showing that the thesis research work or part of the thesis research work has been published or accepted for publication in an international peer-reviewed academic journal.
